Clear Out for Good: A Simple Way to Give Back Through Your Regular Clean

As the seasons change, many of us start to take stock of what’s in our homes — tidying up closets, organizing shelves, and setting aside things we no longer use. At Syracuse Cleaning Services, we know that decluttering isn’t just about making space in your home — it’s also a chance to make a difference in our community.

That’s why we’re introducing a new add-on for our recurring clients: Clear Out for Good 💚

How It Works

During your regularly scheduled clean, you can set aside any unopened or unused items you’d like to donate. Our team will collect them and safely store them at our office. From there, we’ll deliver everything to the Gethsemane United Methodist Church Food Pantry, which supports local families right here in Syracuse.

Here’s what you can leave out:

  • 🥫 Pantry items – canned goods, pasta, rice, and other non-perishables.

  • 🧴 Toiletries and personal care – shampoo, soap, toothpaste, deodorant.

  • 👶 Diapers and wipes – baby care essentials are always appreciated.

  • 🏠 Household basics – paper products, cleaners, and other daily-use items.

Just leave them in a clearly visible spot — like your kitchen or dining table — and we’ll handle the rest.

Why It Matters

This isn’t a requirement or a program with strings attached — it’s simply an easy, no-pressure way to give back. We know life gets busy, and sometimes it’s hard to find time to drop off donations. So we’re making it effortless to turn your home’s refresh into something that helps others feel supported too.

Because when we take care of our homes, we have the chance to care for our neighbors, too.

Join Us in Making a Small Difference

Whether it’s one can of soup or a bag full of essentials, every little bit helps. Together, we can make seasonal cleaning feel even more meaningful — not just for our spaces, but for our community.

If you’d like to participate, simply mention it to your cleaning technician or leave your donation items out during your next recurring clean. We’ll make sure they get to where they’re needed most.

Clean home. Kind heart. Stronger community.
